Who and What is Team BLEW about?

We are a mostly Subaru club that AX's as part of the CSCC (Los Angeles) region. There are regions all over the country and San Diego has a region as well. All our CSCC events are listed on www.solo2.com. We encourage you to go there and read the Newbie Guide/Introduction on the top right hand of the page. You will also see a Calendar tab on the left hand side which list all our upcoming events. As you may notice, there are practices on Saturday and a championships on Sunday. We would encourage you to come out to a championship on Sunday. Don't be put off by the word "Championship", new people are well catered for and you will receive free instruction and help. You are allowed to have an instructor drive you car (to show you where to go) and also ride along with you. Get there by 7am in order to sign up, and go park where all the Subaru's are parked. Introduce yourself as a potential Team Blew member and we will help you thru your day.

What are the benefits of joining Team Blew? Well, other than joining an incredibly friendly bunch of Subaru folk with a wealth of technical knowledge on our cars, you get to have guaranteed entry into our Subaru AX weekend (at a reduced admission price), early warning notices for practice events (tough to get into), access to our forums (www.teamblewracing.com) and access to other special Team Blew AX events that we will be putting on during the year.

There is no better and safer way to get to learn how your car handles at the limts than AX and after you have tried it, I'm sure you will find it as completely addictive as the rest of us. Perhaps one of the best things about Team Blew is just hanging out together and supporting each other at the autocrosses that we love! Some folk think that autocross is boring because during a Championship Event we typically only do three runs (plus $1 Fun Runs). But for us, these days are jammed packed with activity. From taking turns to helping set-up the course early in the morning (BEST way to learn the course!), helping each other get our cars ready, walking the course together, supporting each other during our race runs, just watching all of the action, de-briefing each other after race runs to gain pointers for our own upcoming runs, celebrating our good showings, helping each other to figure out what went wrong when we don't do so well, and then if your still up for it ... drink and dinner at nearby restaurants.

So much better then JUST a Suby get-together and a Canyon Run, where you can't safely explore the limits of your performance car.
