I wish you would have at least put the two good ones in the front rather than the back.LOL

P.S. I saw it at Eric's shop yesterday, it's getting closer....

Few things have happened with the Civic. The main thing is passing smog!

Nicole made us a cool sticker that we are going to put on the car.  It's debut will be at the El Toro Pro Solo.

We also ordered a custom license plate frame "ST CIVIC"

I have yet to order the darkened out corners. I just found out this
week that a 91 turn signal corner is different then a 89 turn signal
corner.

searched and couldn't find it.

I remember seeing a wing on top by his sunroof, I was referring to a front lip piece, something legal.

You must have not searched for APR and Jason Rhoades in the team blew forums because I still don't pull up any threads. Thanks though.

Go with a splitter, much more effective than an air dam. :)

Let me know if anyone needs any APR aero bits, I can supply their parts for low $.

They'll do a custom splitter if you supply the pattern.

Rick
what do you have in mind rick....i have no idea where to start...you ready to start a new trend in STS?

Not really a new trend in STS as J-Rho had one.

This is from APR:

"Can APR make a splitter for my application?

Yes, we can make the splitter with the help of an outline of your bumper.

Please follow the instructions below:
1.     Find a large sheet of cardboard.
2.     Place the cardboard underneath the front bumper.
3.     Draw the bumper bottom outline onto the cardboard.

Cost:
The cost for the custom splitter is $340+ shipping (a pair of support rods and hardware are included).
Estimated working time: 2 weeks.

Additional Guidelines:
*Bottom of the bumper requires at lease 3~ 4 of flat surface all around to mount the splitter.
*Fold your template in the center to check if both curves match each other.
*If the depth of splitter exceeds 24", every 2" is $20 extra for material charge."

I can probably supply it for $279, the price of carbon keeps going up since there is high military and Boeing demand.

I drove the civic to work today for the first time. I'm kind of embarassed to drive it because it is so loud. Turn down FTL :(

Has anyone used Lens Smoked Paint? That could be another alternative to smoking out headlights, tail lights and corner lights.

It's true. Leslie had a rerun on her 2nd run as well.

Team Under Coat working hard to make sure she stays on top for her last run! They are such nice people to talk to and very informative.

I was wondering if some of the ST folks have heard about this?

A very influential ST/STS person trying to eliminate the lip, spoiler and wing allowance, or substitution for all ST classes. We need some letters sent to the SEB to help counter the rule take-back.

A letter just stating that you "like rule 14.2F as is" would help. The SEB may not put much weight in form letters, but below is a letter template someone else wrote, that can be pasted into an email to the SEB.

Send to seb@scca.com, and it will be routed to the STAC for consideration.

Thanks,

Rick

SEB/STAC,
I am writing in favor of leaving 14.2F as-is for the following reasons:

-No Rule take back: this rule is well established and many people have spent lots of time and money to be fully legal in regards to this rule.
-No Rules creep: This rule has already been changed once to measure chord width instead of "as seen from above".
-The Rule is clear and measurable.
-Good for participation: The "import" crowd like wings front lip, and spoilers, and it draws them into the sport because they see similar cars to what they own.
-Right for ST cars: Many ST cars come stock with big wings (Evo, STi,...).
-ST's intent of common mods done on street cars: Any Tuner/import mag has front lip splitters, spoilers or wings on our type of cars.

Thank you,

Outfitting the Honda Civic requires a lot of artistic wisdom. And another thing is that, you need to be creative on what type of honda auto parts you will install.
